Greetings from the Frontier…

Well, the boys spent part of this past weekend at Scott’s Frontier Recording Studio working on the new CD.  And it was a beautiful day there — the fall colors have lit up the trees all around the farm, while late hatches of flies and ladybugs buzzed through the warm air (and occasionally into the studio — occasionally a fly would land on my fingers in the middle of a tune!).  Between draughts of fresh air and Miss Marlene’s scrumptious crock pot chicken queso, we laid down tracks for three more tunes on the album.  We now think we have plenty of terrific stuff for the coming mix-down and mastering.  We’re also looking forward to our upcoming date with the Mona Shores fiddlers over in Muskegon on Nov. 1.
